DanganRonpa: Prepare for Despair

Felix led the two of them to the auditorium and looked up at the banner he'd drawn. Monokuma's graffiti still covered the top portion of the sheet. "I think I'll make a new one, one without that bear's graffiti on it," he said.

"NOOOOOOOO!" the bear cried as he jumped from the stage lights above. He landed in front of them with a thud,  "Why are you allowed to do art but try to destroy my masterpiece?! That's not fair!"

Felix rolled his eyes and gritted his teeth. "Because, there won't be enough room for the others who die if I keep it on your one."

"Well you should've thought about that before. I mean you knew more kids would die. If it was only two that's be boooooooooring~" he laughed, "But I suppose I can make an exception. As long as you do another handsome portrait of me at the top. I could even model for it if you need!"

Leit went over to Heather and sat down beside her, simply to keep her company. "You will be okay. We all will. I know it, Heather. Do not worry, please."

"Well, those are my rules! Make sure you get my good side!" he laughed.

"Do you even have a good side," Felix muttered.

"Hmmmm. I guess you have a point there..." he brought his paw up to his mouth, "All sides of me are equally appealing. It's unfair to the rest of me to call one particular side 'good.' Well done, Mr. Davenport!" the bear walked up to Felix before jumping up and putting a star sticker on his forehead, "At least we know who the teacher's pet is, you charmer~"

Felix stared at Monokuma, gobsmacked. After a few seconds, he pulled the sticker off his head and threw it to the ground before, with the help of Devin and Alex, pulling down the defaced banner.

"If you like your art so much," Devin said to Monokuma through his teeth, "Just hang it up in your office."

"You think I want dead kids staring at me with those happy faces? That's just disturbing." The bear shook his head, "I'm not some freak who needs to look at the dead kids to remember them. I remember how annoying they are just fine."

"It would be a pleasure to draw your portrait atop the new banner," Felix said as an idea popped into his head. "Now, if you'll excuse us, it seems I have some work to do."

Devin titled his head and didn't make any further comment.

"Glad to hear it! Make sure you get the smile on this side juuuuuust right. Drives the lady bears wild." He pointed to his mouth on the right side before walking off.

Felix rolled his eyes and turned towards the door. "Are you guys gonna stay with me while I draw?" he asked.

A little over an hour later, the night time announcements went off. "Attention, attention. Students of the Academy of Hope. It is now 10 pm! The storage room and the cafeteria have been closed for the night! Sleep well, and dream peacefully!"

Felix looked down at the new sheet he had started drawing on. He had drawn the outlines for everyone and had just started on inking the outlines when the announcement went off. "I guess you guys will be wanting to head to bed now," he said as he looked up at Alex and Devin.

Devin nodded. "That'd be best, yeah."

Heather grabbed her incentive and stuffed it her pockets, continuing to cry as the group left the cafeteria, "Nothing...Nothing will be okay..." she muttered between sobs, "I'm...I'm stuck in here watching others die! And even if I get out...there's nothing for me out there." She leaned against the wall next to the cafeteria and began sliding down it, "There's nothing....nothing...." She gasped in between her cries. Once she sat on the ground she brought her knees to her chest and buried her face in them.

Leit tried to comfort Heather for just a little longer, patting her gently on the shoulder, telling her above all to stay hopeful, and to sleep well. "We are all here for you, okay?" he reassured. After a while, he had to go to bed, despite not wanting to leave her there alone. He was exhausted from the day's... happenings.
When he got to his room, he promptly talked himself to sleep.

Tears streamed down Heather's face as she calmed down and stood up, "...There are things that need to be cleaned." She walked away from the others, towards the second floor, as a quick pace.

Julie arrived at the cafeteria, early as usual, and leaned against the door. Dark bags hung under her eyes, and her shoulders were slumped, but she kept her usual frown on her face as she waited for the announcement. "Three. Two. One."


The morning announcement went off, "Attention, attention. Students of the Academy of Hope. Good morning, you bastards! It is now 7 am! The storage room and the cafeteria have been reopened! Let's make the day the best it can be!" Julie walked into the cafeteria and sat in her normal position, resting her head on her hand as she waited for the others.
