DanganRonpa: Prepare for Despair

"Now, now. That would be telling." The bear brought its paws up to its mouth.

Felix scowled at the bear and fought the urge to cross his arms over his chest. "Fine," he said

"I can't begin to guess why."

Devin picked up the key. "Never thought listening would help track a key down. Someone wanted us to find it."

"We have to do our best to find a way out." She said, trying to reassure herself, "We still have no clue where Leit or Alex is. We haven't seen Julie or Devin around here either." She looked up at Liam, "We can stop this. We just have to work together."

Julie walked over to Devin, "That could only mean one thing, yeah?" she snatched the key from him and walked out of the room.

She stopped in from of the Examination Room. She brought the key near the door handle and exhaled, "Good. Let's see what they have waiting for us in here." She unlocked the door and slowly opened it.

Inside there was a dark room, with a single computer against the right-most wall. Across the room were several binders and files, each bearing names and pictures of the students, as well as a few extra names tossed in. There was a bench on one side of the room, and what looked like an operation table sat next to it with a few tools sitting on a stand nearby. On the floor was a dazed Alex, rubbing his head.

Julie walked into the room cautious, she checked behind her to make sure Devin was close by. "You...What are you..." She looked around, the room had a different feel to it than the rest of the rooms. It felt foreign and unfamiliar; almost unwelcoming. "Why...? Where...?" She struggled with words for a second before settling on a question, "Why the hell were you locked in here?"

"Regardless." The bear waved its paw around, "You hooligans may wanna get looking around. No reason standing around when you got this much on the line, right?"

"What do you mean?" Felix asked. "Has someone else been killed?"

Alex looked up still dazed and managed to get out, "Not sure I was in here with some mystery dude talking, then  we heard the door lock."

Julie's eyes narrowed, "You're joking, right?" She crossed her arms, "This isn't the time for you to be messing around. You're in a hell of a lot of trouble as it is."

"Lemme answer that with a resounding, 'DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUH!'" The bear yelled, falling into a laughing fit afterwards, "Dahahah! Why else would the gates be closed?"

Felix sighed and ran his hand down his face. "Why didn't the siren thing go off?" he asked.

"What? What do you mean?" He was still dazed and coming back into reality.

Julie clenched her fists, and gave a low growl. "Where is the other key? Where is the one you used to lock yourself in here?"

"I unno. Maybe three people haven't found it yet."

"You're the only one in here, Alex." Julie was getting more and more irritated.

"Kindly explain who did then." Julie responded, shaking her head, "Seeing that the third floor has been locked until about an hour ago, I can't see anyone locking you in here."

"Last night I went for a walk to clear my head and I saw gate open so I came up stairs and when I came in here I saw a dude at the computer, we started talking and after a few minutes we heard the door lock on the outside. I've been here all night."

"Hallucinations are becoming more common." Julie glared at Alex, "Regardless, we're not going to get anywhere with you spouting nonsense." She turned around, "Follow us. But keep your distance." She walked out of the room and headed over to the history classroom. She opened the door and stepped to the side to show Alex the body inside.

The bell rang throughout the entire building. The familiar clicking of the televisions turning on sounded, and the bear appeared on the screen, "A body has been discovered!" It cheered, "Following a brief period of investigation, we will all start a CLASS TRIAL!" The televisions turned off.

Heather's face went pale after the announcement, "No...Why..." Tears were building in her eyes, "It...It isn't fair..." She leaned against the wall and brought her hands to her face.

Alex stammered, "Well, this is, uh... I was not aware of this," he was apparently surprised to see this, "but this might be why I was locked in the examination room."

"That's convenient." Julie scoffed.

He glared at her, "Yes, very."
