DanganRonpa: Prepare for Despair

"How should I know?" the bear responded, swiveling back around in his chair before slamming his paws on the console a few times, "Probably just kids pretending to be as talented as all of yous."

Devin nodded. "'Ey hel' a c'oth o'er my mouth an' erryhing wen' black."

"Expelled? Didn't make the cut?" Liam hypothesized. "Or killed..."

Julie kept her eyes on Devin, "How'd you end up here then?"

Felix watched after Heather before a thought popped into his head. "You should leave it," he said. "For the others to see."

Monokuma shrugged, "Whatever floats yer boat." it was typing furiously on the console, "Annnnd done!" A few more screens turned on.

Heather looked at Felix quizzically, "But what would be the point? The assailant failed did they not?"

Alicia nodded again. "U-until then I'm going to my room, I don't want to be around anyone."

"I'm gonna walk you back," Felix said. "I don't want whoever it was to try again."

Alica nodded and stood up. "That's fine."

"Wait!" Heather yelled before clearing her throat, "I...I think it would be best for us to all wait here for the others. Groups of three would offer the most protection."

Alicia thought about it,"Fine, you're probably right." She said and she sat down at the table.

Heather nodded and sat down. She watched Felix for awhile before adjusting her gaze to her feet.

Felix paced restlessly, unlike the girls. Every now and then his gaze would drift back to the table where the two sat as if to reassure himself they were both still there.

"Nervous about something?" Heather fidgeted in her seat, "Because you're certainly making me feel that way."

Sorry," Felix mumbled. "I'm going to make some coffee." He headed back into the kitchen, trying not to look at the floor where Alicia had lain.

Heather eyed Felix as he left the room. She turned to Alicia, "You're sure that you're okay?"

Felix closed the door behind him as he made the coffee. He paced once more as he waited for the water to boil and the coffee to percolate. Eventually, his anger at what had happened to Alicia threatened to spill over and he found himself with his fist embedded in the wall where a tile used to be. The tile itself lay on the floor by his feet. A few seconds after he realised that he had punched the wall so hard he had broken the tile. That would explain the blood, he thought. belatedly, he wondered if it had made enough noise to draw the girls in.

Devin sucked on his tongue for a second before answering more clearly. "I waj already here."

"What's that?"

Julie folded her arms and glared at Devin, "You come up here, after it hasn't been opened all day, you don't go get someone to come with you, and you're up here unconscious alone."She looked around again, "If this is some sort of trap, I will not hesitate to kill you."

"Monitors." The bear replied flatly. On each of the screens were pictures of the rooms around the building. A few flickered to a different room each second, and it looked as if you could adjust which rooms to focus on using the console. The screens that flickered on were those of the cafeteria, and the library. The cafeteria held Alicia and Heather, sitting around the table, the blood splatters on the wall above clearly visible. The library had several books thrown about it, with a chair lying on its side. The door hung loosely from the hinge, and the desk had its files thrown around it.

"I'm alive if that's what you mean. I'm not sure that I trust anyone anymore though." Alicia answered. "It's not every day someone tries to kill me ya'know?" He hands were still shaking but her voice was steady. The scream was enough, she had to remain composed.

Heather nodded and looked back down. After a second she heard the sound of something in the kitchen breaking. She stood up as walked over to the door before looking in, "Felix?" she saw him with his fist against the wall, blood running down his knuckles. She clicked her tongue and walked over to him. She took his hand and looked it over, "Do you think you broke it?"

He shook his head as she gently turned his hand over in hers. "It doesn't hurt," he replied.

Heather frowned, "Hurting yourself in frustration is not going to help any one." she let go of his hand and dug in her pocket. "I have a few bandages here. Make sure to clean the wound later. We don't want it to get infected"
