Backstory: Tawei started off as a student under a prestigious doctor who had perfected the use of using natural herbs to heal patients. As Tawei become more and more proficient at taking care of patients, the doctor started showing him more and more medical techniques with the herbs. A few years later, the doctor passed away, leaving Tawei as the only successor to the hospital. Things were easy as first: a few common illnesses, and several minor injuries. Nothing really prepared him for the epidemic. A strange illness, one that started out as a few odd symptoms and eventually evolved into something fatal, swept the area. Matorans came to him from near and far, searching for the cure; and yet Tawei had no answer for them. He had to turn away many patients because the hospital was already over capacity. He made sure to talk to his patients each day and make sure they were comfortable. He was never there to see them when they died. He couldn't stand to see them that way even when he knew it was coming. He began research on more and more plants, none of which seemed to have the capabilities to heal the disease. He had heard about a voyage being carried out to explore the island chains and had decided that that would be the only hope to find herbs that may heal the illness. But this exploration does not come without the greed of his own well-being...For it just so happens that Tawei has begun to show to first symptoms.
