Finalizing the forum makeover

Well, as you all know, the format of the forum has been completely re-done. In addition to that, we have a new motto, and a quick-post option, as well as a few other knick-knacks. Now is the final step.

We need a new theme, and for that we need:
- A new banner
- A new background
- A new color scheme

The color scheme has to come first. We need three colors, two main ones and one secondary one. Anyone can offer the colors they want in a comment, and the most popular will be the one we go with. We should discuss this in the chatbox when enough people are around in order to decide. Pink, orange and bright red can't be main colors, as they are too hard on the eyes, but orange and bright red can be secondary colors.

For the banner, anyone with a photo editing tool such as SAI or Photoshop can make us a new banner. It'll have to have some sort of Zelda theme to it, and should probably include Slendy in it, and maybe something Harry Potter-related. If you could also include our coat of arms, that would be perfect, but you don't have to. It also has to fit with the chosen color scheme. The only thing I 100% require is that it either says "Andbhuh" or "Where Blood is no Thicker Than Water" on it.

The background shouldn't be too complicated. Something like the one we have already. It should follow the color scheme we settle with, but it can have some things that don't match as long as they don't stick out too much. Once again, like our current one. It also has to have a smooth loop.

Alright, let's get this figured out!

* CONTRIBUTION POINT SYSTEM

• The only way to gain points in The Attic is to make a theory, and this only gives 10 points, as opposed to the previous 50. Once the hiatus is over, I may change this.
  
• Making a topic anywhere in The Living Room gives you 5 points, and making a post gives you 1.
  
• Topics in The Office give you 3 points, while posts give you 1.
  
• Topics in the Sandbox give you 3 points. In The Pool, they give you 15. In The Porch they give you 3. Posts in any of these don't give points. Topics in Forum Games give you 5 points, and posts give you 1.
  
• Topics in The Shed give you 2 points, while posts give you 1.
  
• Topics in Rage and Rant give you 5 points, and replies give you 3. (This is to encourage members to be open about their issues, and for others to offer encouraging words)
  
• Topics in Forum Discussion give you 3 points, and posts give you 1.

(Contribution has also been re-named 'Friendliness')

The main reason for the change in the point system is to encourage members to keep posting to get their point counts up. But topics made purely for the sake of getting points will be deleted, and their points subtracted.

I added a list of changes made to the forum. You might want to take a look for updates, because I'm still not quite done.

I dont know that we should get too crazy out of hand with re-decorating, lets try to keep the elements in here that brought us together in the first place, if the ARG did anything at all it did that part right.

I voted for a change, just because this isn't about the ARG anymore. It's about a bunch of nerdy people being awesome nerds. ^^

I think the colors of the forum are fine as they are, personally, but I'd be game for an autumn type color scheme, if that's what everyone wants to do. Blues are also nice. =) I think we should keep it simple, though... the books are a cool idea, but I think it'd make everything look cluttered... much like my books at home. ^^;

As for the banner, are we keeping the forum Zelda styled, or are we ousting that and going for a neutral thing? o:

I'm with A7ex... I think Slenderman is a little bit weird, even. I think we should just keep it Zelda, because that is one thing that all of us have in common.

K. Zelda it is. So let's get more color opinions. I'm with green, blue, purple and autumn.

I think an autumn scheme would look fantastic. Golds and reds and browns and whatnot...

Though, maybe if we did a certain shade of yellow, it could work? I'unno.

Using all four colors isn't possible. For one, there are only 3 basic colors to the forum, plus the banner and background, and second, those colors just don't mix.

How about something dark?
I feel more comfortable with dark colors.

Dark is cool. Like, dark blue and purple... can't make it too much like WH though.

But guys, now that I think about it, I'd rather keep the color scheme the same... The banner, I'd like to change, and maybe the background, but the colors are so familiar to me now, it wouldn't evoke the same sense of nostalgia that it does now.

I'm gonna wipe all the votes in the poll, feel free to change yours.

Okay, cool. I know I'm the only one talking here, but I also like green. Honestly, I'm good with whatever, really.. I think a change would be great, but you do have a good point with the fact that it wouldn't have the same feel. So... yeah. I'm no good with the colors. What were you thinking for the new banner? Just Zelda-ish in general? Or were you feeling a certain theme within Zelda?

If we could have the moon in the background, that'd be cool. Honestly, I'll just leave it to the artist's imagination, but it has to have Link in it. (I'd rather it wouldn't be toon Link, but yeah.)

Oh. Also, if someone could make some new icons for the rank system, that would be great. The ones we have now are all pixely and stuff. We need 2 groups of icons, ranked from 0-5, like it is now. I could do this one myself.

No Harry Potter, its a great RP that everyone should join , but it doesn't fit.
