Community Event! :D

Hello!

I would like to announce The Fourth Day Forum's (Un)Official Zelda Gaming Event!

What is this about?
Simple!
It's about us,playing Zelda games AT THE SAME TIME.
It's like we are playing together,but in different rooms!

The goal is to have fun,and ALSO to complete all Zelda games we have selected.
You may choose if you complete the games main story or even 100%.

Sign up now,the event starts August 10th.
(Could be moved to August 13th!!!)
(Because of weekend.)

You guys tell me what Zelda game you will be playing,choose between these:

The Legend of Zelda
Zelda II
A Link to the Past
Ocarina of Time
Majora's Mask
The Wind Waker
Twilight Princess

Please note if you select a game not on the list you will be playing that game LAST.

So,this is how to signup:

Game(s): (For multiple games)

Ocarina of Time (Story) (If you are ONLY going to complete story mode.)
A Link to the Past (100%?) (If you aren't sure if you will tackle the 100% challenge.)
Majora's Mask (100%) (If you are going to complete the game 100%.)

PLEASE CHOOSE AS MANY GAMES AS YOU CAN!!!

This is just for fun,and also to see who plays what game,or even MASTERS it.
Note this is NO competition,more a "challenge" but completely fun based.

ALSO note that you shouldn't play games that haven't been voted.

Like,if we vote to start with The Wind Waker,you shouldn't play Zelda II.

AND if we vote The Wind Waker,but you don't have it,then I guess you have to pause :/

I have Ocarina of Time on my 3DS now, along with Master Quest, and I'd be willing to get Link to the Past on an emulator. I think I'll only go for story in OoT, and 100% in LttP.

Damn it im busy both those days plus im wondering if i have the patience to do it and what to pick ill probably do
Majoras Mask and Four swords adventures sice i havent played them in a while I might play Wind waker and OOT if I feel like it. ill also probably only do the sory cause im not a fan of 100% challenges (also would the golden tingle statues and the trophy's count toward 100% completion for WW)

Brief update:

We so far only had 2 people sign up for this,which isn't much...
Today would actually be closing day,but as said in my first post it might change.
So,closing day will be moved to Sunday 14th August.

I also have a question:

Do you guys think we should "expand" our games list tonot only Zelda games?
But we would only be picking popular or well known games!

(Like Chrono Trigger,Super Mario RPG,and others...)

I would like your oppinion on this because I don't know,only the Zelda series seems kinda...
...well,just not so much.
It wouldn't be a problem expanding our gaming selection,though for these games we need at least 2 players otherwise it wouldn't make any sense.

So,in case you people would like to add more games,I already vote for these:

-Donkey Kong Country 1/2/3

I dunno how many I'll do, I was replaying OOT 3d anyway ( fuck mirror masterquest ) if I do do it I'll basically just go through the story and the happy mask and biggorons sword quests. but I know I will most definitely play Wind Waker's story cause I love me some wind waker.

I'll add that I'm going to do the Secret Gauntlet Glitch in OoT3D when I play it, was well as the mask and Biggoron Sword quest, like Cat.

And since this thread is about a community event, it might be a good place to announce our get-together on the 14th at 3-ish pm, EST. We're going to be trying to make this a regular thing, and we just might be able to bring back more members of this forum.

It doesn't really look like there will be more people for this.

Anyway,the second Zelda is not going to be played.
(Pretty obvious why actually.)

So it's pretty clear that we start with Ocarina of Time don't you agree?

Now here is what I think:

1. Ocarina of Time
2. Majora's Mask (They fit together pretty well,why not continue the legend?)
3. Twilight Princess (Seems fitting enough because of all the references to OoT and MM.)
4. The Wind Waker (The pretty much least fitting 3D Zelda.)
5. A Link to the Past (2D Zelda...) (Still awsome,I still love it.)
6. The Legend of Zelda (...)
7. Four Swords Adventures (Think about this again please.)
(You can still do it if you want,but no one is playing with you I'm afraid.)

Voting isn't actually all about Zelda references but I thought it would just make more sense to play them that way.
And I just noticed we only have about 2 players a game,making Ocarina of Time an exception. (And FSA.)

I would like you guys to think about it again if you can't like,add 1 or 2 more games because it seems like it's just me gaming with you guys.
(Yeah I selected pretty much every Zelda game.)

any order is fine with me, but I wouldn't say Wind Waker is any less fitting with the lore. That whole beginning video pretty much tells us that this is the world from the end of OOT where adult Link went back in time so when Ganondorf returned there wasn't one to fight him and blah blah blah. Although geographically, yes it's a pretty drastic change with like...all that water and stuff.

Unfortunately, LttP and OoT are the only ones I have, so I can't help you there.

Is anyone planning on livestreaming their games? I'm gonna do it for LttP.

It would only work for emulators. Go to livestream.com, get an account and download the procaster.

Yeah I know it is kinda stupid to vote in which order we will be playing them so,oh well.

We will be starting with Ocarina of Time I guess.

NO ONE has chosen to beat it 100%.

Rules:

No cheating.
No glitch abusing.
And pretty much everything else that SHOULDN'T be possible in the game itself.

The game will be played from where the protagonist wakes up in his house,until the antagonist has FINALLY been defeated and the ~THE END~ screen is clearly visible.

Now the thing is,are we beating the games in one day,or until everyone is finished?
I know it has been said that we wait until everyone is done,but beating them in one day would add up to the challenge.
