| So. Blazing References is a huge project for a singular editor. Those who want to contribute, I'm asking you to submit your own zany, wacky, or otherwise funny edits. Rules: 1. If there's a plot that I made in the instances of text offered, follow it. You can drain ALL seriousness, just don't deviate from the plot. (IE: One scene, Dimbo is explaining Megido, and the next, he's singing about how he became the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. BTW, this is an example of what NOT to do, as fun as it would be to see this.) 2. Complex "Commands" are loved. Don't worry about learning them, some of the important ones will be listed below. 3. These are quick and to the point, and some parts contain multiple scenes. Don't make a single scene an essay, as the game will reject edits that exceed a certain length. Also, lines, can't be too long. If your sentence is too long (The example scene shows the approximate max length), it'll just look like the Terrain Tutorial. 4. Remember, in contrast to Rule 1, some scenes just NEED to be serious. A witty reference/joke that floats over some people's heads will always be accepted in serious scenes. and jokes will be taken, so long as it isn't just a mess of memes slung into a singular scene. Commands: [.] - This is used to create pauses. Use this when you have to create a new line for your text. [A] - This indicates that the player has to click "A" in order to advance the text here. This should be used every 2-3 lines. [ToggleRed] - Gives you red text, much like that suspend screen. Just remember to use the command again when you're done trolling Battler. [ToggleSmile] - That's right. You can creepily grin at people untill they call the police. Much like any other toggle command, to stop using it, you have to use the command a second time. [ToggleBlinking] - Your character performing the amazing attempt at the world record for holding their eyes open. Just be sure to toggle the command again, before they hurt themselves. And if you want to learn any more... You'll have to learn them through observation. Here's an example of a scene. - Spoiler:
Face [0x16] is Yuki, so she's in the Mid Right section of the scene.
Face [0x2F] is Dimbo, so he's in the Far Left section of the scene.
Face [0x30] is Tazz, so... You should be able to tell where he is.

| Pretty good editing for a first attempt, but when I said "following scenes"... I literally meant they followed the two example scenes.
Here's my only complaint:
The whole nobility plot was trashed, much like how Garfield is the replacement for Lundgren. He's the... troll who can't "PROFIT!!!"
However, I never really provided much information regarding plot (I was more eager to share some jokes for upcoming Supports) so, all in all, those complaints were moreso based on my terrible explanations. | |
