| Wonder why Darc has such a strange world view in any RPG he appears in? Here's the rules he proudly follows: - Spoiler:
THE CHAIN THAT BIND US ALL
1. We are Shadows. Only the Emissaries of the Oathmakers (Currently Telos Alexander, Rath Orion, and Ceciel De l'arc) are worthy of the title of Deity. Imposters will be given 34 Points Penalty.
2. We are not Reapers. We have seen the world's black underbelly and lived to tell the tale. We bring violent deaths, not because people believe we are sadistic in nature, but because while the world cannot be consumed in war, it must never be entirely at peace. Forgetting our noble goal will result in 10 Points Penalty.
3. Despite the beliefs of fools, We are not some band of roving sell swords. We are the Lords and Ladies of the Night that aid the world in atoning for its sins. Any equipment given to you from the Oathmakers will be excluded from your life outside our palms. Emissaries are excluded from this rule.
4. Do not confuse our powers with magic. We are merely humans who gained power from the mistakes of others. Our power is Mana, not the "magic" humans think to be powered by Mana. Forgetting our power will result in 1 Point Penalty.
5. We do not act without orders. Emissaries are excluded from this rule.
6. Orders from the Oathmakers are final. Failure to follow such orders will result in 100 Points Penalty.
7. We let the dead rest peacefully. We do not permit the disturbance of those that died without a fight. Thieves will be hunted by Emissaries.
8. All Shadows have two demons to serve them. More can be gained through pacts, marriage with a fellow Shadow, gifts, purchase from the Sanguine Market, or through Emissary’s Rights.
9. A Shadow’s true form isn’t far removed from the Hierarchy of Noble Demons. While the Noble Demons are rather pleasant to have as acquaintances, there is no reason why you should be in your true form. Life threatening situations are within reasonable bounds, but you will receive a scolding from a superior.
10. A Shadow will receive a promotion at the reaching of 101 points. In turn, a Shadow will be condemned to death at the reaching of -101 Points.
11. You may think yourself superior to non-Shadows, but you're no different from them. Have proper manners towards every non-hostile. This does not mean you act like an Aristocrat, but it does mean you follow the mood of the room, and protect non-target innocents from harm.
EMISSARY’S RIGHTS
12. Emissaries are permitted to live all aspects of life outside our palms.
13. Emissaries Ceciel De l'arc and Rath Orion are referred to as Darc in conversation.
14. Emissary Telos Alexander is referred to as Aelita in conversation.
15. Emissaries gain all property of any condemned Shadows they slay. A team operation will result in proper division of property between the responsible Emissaries.
16. Emissaries cannot be penalized by normal rules, but they can be condemned by the Oathmakers at any time, for any reason, including no reason at all.
17. Emissaries answer to the Oathmakers, and no one else. The only execption is Rule 18.
18. Emissaries are permitted to form pacts with humans that request aid.
19. Emissaries Ceciel De l'arc and Rath Orion may share a body, but they are still considered two seperate people that think similarly.
